Pacific Microfinance Week 2009 - Overview
After a successful Pacific Microfinance Week in August 2007, the Microfinance Pasifika Network was pleased to convene the second Pacific Microfinance Week 2009 (PMW 2009) in Nadi, Fiji from July 13 - 17, 2009. PMW 2009 was a week-long series of events, meetings and gatherings of a range of organisations and individuals which have an interest in promoting the provision of inclusive and sustainable financial services in the Pacific.

Objectives:

- Draw awareness to microfinance operations in the Pacific and raise the profile of Microfinance Pasifika Network to institutions external to the current stakeholder body;
- To encourage partnerships and cooperation in the Pacific among microfinance stakeholders
- To bring together all of the Microfinance Pasifika Network members for an opportunity to network;
- Provide a platform for training workshops and presentations of ongoing work by the members and supporters;
