GOOD RETURN
Good Return, with the support of the University of South Pacific, in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Central Bank of Solomon Islands (CBSI) are working together with Rural Communities and Financial Service Providers to research and design financial capability and digital financial solutions that ‘work’ for rural communities across the Solomon Islands.
On the 21st July, hosted by CBSI and in partnership with ADB, Good Return facilitated a one day interactive workshop to share research insights, key findings and to launch an interactive financial inclusion website with research data and multimedia content (http://strengtheningfinancialinclusion.com/).
Representatives from the National Financial Inclusion Taskforce, Mobile Network Operators, Agricultural Extension Officers and farmers representing the Rural Communities participated in the structured and dynamic workshop, which used a conversation-based brainstorm to rapidly prototype solutions!
The research findings from Phase 1 of the project will inform the design and implementation of a range of consumer awareness, financial capability and simple digital financial ‘stepping stone’ product concepts to be pilot tested in Phase 2, aligned with the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
